Endometriosis and the soft life
There is no cure for endometriosis. I’m currently recovering from my second laparoscopic excision surgery, five weeks post-op and watching as the five entry points along my abdomen slowly stitch themselves back together, scabbing and itching, changing the shape of my bellybutton. Halloween (body) Horror Nights
Walking around Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando this September felt like wading through a fleshy sea of my exact marketing demographic. This is the mother lode for purveyors of black graphic tees, quirky pop culture crossovers and Loungefly backpacks, and I acknowledge with complete humility that I fit right the fuck in. October 2025 horror movie roundup
This year we did 31 for 31 with the goal of watching a horror movie each night in October, and we finished the month at 27, which I think is a perfectly acceptable figure. We kept the definition of horror loose, and mixed in classics, favorites and things we hadn't seen.
